Went to watch Hello Stranger yesterday! It is a good, unconventional Thai movie. I had wanted to watch it after seeing the trailer in the ads of Megamind.About 2 Thai people in Korea, both out of love, and they decide to tour Korea together,upon the agreement that they will not reveal each other's names. This movie pokes a bit of humour out of K-drama and K-Pop, and (I think) the clever play of puns and dialogue, this Romantic Comedy is really worth a watch!

So, on Deepaavali, my family went to the Science Centre to see this:

Yes, it was really cool because we actually got to solve cases and 'submit' a report to Grissom, and, not to mention, get a C.S.I Diploma. (with your name and Grissom's signature in tow! LOL :D ) Yup, and I got a clipboard with the C.S.I logo on it ^^ And I don't intend on taking it out from it's plastic, I'm just gonna:

Cut a hole out where the 'clip' part of the clipboard is
Use it as it is, making it scratch-free as much as possible! (yay.) HAHA

After that, I was browsing through Teen Vogue in Popular and saw an advertisement on this shoe:

He is quite a erm, quirky artist, i must say, after a few minutes into looking at his artwork. Anyway, this shoe design was from one of his previous works, entitled, All You Need is Love, as shown below:

Dear Lydia.T,

I'm reflecting the year in school now-- in school.
This year has been pretty good I think, everybody has been so nice to each other, really, supporting one another when in need of a helping hand (and maybe notes to borrow).Maybe because of the fact lingering at the back of our minds telling us that most of us might be splitting classes next year,and that a good friend will be leaving Singapore soon and things probably won't be the same...But in the meantime,I thought that this year has passed in the blink of an eye.Too fast, I say, to even register what was of yesterday.

This year was full of experiences-- camping in Jurong Bird park was extraordinary, pushing our limits at kayaking. Knowing familiar people better, and know new ones like Rebecca (g6) and Lemuel, Yi Xuan, Meerabelle! They are nice friends to have. Learning how to appreciate others and to not pick on their shortcomings is something that is now truly dear to me.
Visual Arts has also been really inspiring, especially when we had Ms Felicia Low over to relief us. I was glad she taught me a method on how to shade using paint, it was a joy to have her. At the same time Ms Tsang has also encouraged me to not be disheartened by little set backs that I face--It's all part of the process. Experiencing the Thai arts was also pleasant. I have also grown to love the Art of Dance. ALSO! Mr Rozells is really the nicest teacher I have ever met.Which teacher would treat us to Mac's and sponsor us Pizza!---But of course he teaches just as well--no, doubly well.
As for academics, I'm quite glad that I'm hitting most of my goals, but higher expectations do await me in the near future. I should contribute more to class discussions, though, it's funny that I'm quiet in class. Heheh.

Regrets? I think it would be not relying on my watch but instead the one in the Lecture Theatre for a recent Chinese mock paper, resulting in a not-so-well-done paper.
Disappointing.
I also very much regret not keeping in touch with my best friends in Primary school as much as I wanted to, who are now fairly distant from me and yet much closer to others.
Let it be a dream that BFFs existed?

My hope is for everyone to be promoted together and as best as possible be in the same class(I really don't know what I'll do without them), or at the very least, be in the same class with Qing (and a few other Good Friends). And stay with my VA class, because there is so much to learn from each other and they are good influences for each other.I also hope that I will not lose contact with Shruti. T.T

How's everybody looking forward to end of holidays?

For a start, I did not have a chance to change my (blog)skin.
But I DID go to the Pixar: 20 Years of Animation exhibition. ^^

Yes, I'm back!

And yes, it IS the June Holidays now. As from experiences these holidays are 50-50 of its meaning.

So GOOD news or BAD news first? Hmm... ... = . =

Anyway, 50% is doing revision, catching up with lessons,CCAs, remedial/supplementary, holiday homework, all the administration {Such as filing,} ETC.
The Other 50% would be, in General, SLACKING?! I mean, why not? Sleeping REALLY late, Waking up even later, or not doing anything that deems too tedious for a holiday, for example. HAHaha.

I hope you get what I mean. O.o

Makes me wonder about the people on the other side of the world whom have the luxury of a LONG SUMMER HOLIDAY, and they have summer camps. {With exception of summer school.} I Wonder if they are like us :)
Hmmm...Food for Thought... Yummy:) O.O

Speaking of camp, I just came back from my Level Camp, which was truly a great experience! Came back with lotsa cramps, strains, and 5 cents and 10 cents { aka Mosquito Bites! } We kayaked all the way from Singapore to Pulau Ubin!!! One night spent there seemed to take forever to pass... However, the rest of our 2 nights @ Jurong bird park was really awesome! Good food, & good FUN! I think it was another step forward in learning to work with others, interaction, and Independence. :D

Tomorrow night, I'll be attending FCPS's Performing Arts Night@ Republic Polytechnic. Looking forward to it! ;D

Whew. AND Sigh.

I know most of you guys are already doing MYEs, but mine only starts next week. *YIKES!*

SO yup, whew, cos I just finished my Art Theory Exam today after much cramming these few days. ( I really mean 2 days ONLY.) It was OK! So now, hopefully, I don't get too many mistakes in my paper and do relatively well. I also badly want to do well for math, I hate it that I'm soooo absolutely careless when it comes to calculations, especially for graphs. ( The Quadratic and Simultaneous/Linear ones.)

I never had much sports achievements{except winning first in a 4 x 100 relay in Pri 3 or something..=.=},so I felt fairly proud,although I did not save many hits from the opponents. >.<

My exams finally ended today! That's just AWESOME!

Soon, our post-exam activities will start, and I'll be doing an introductory archery course as part of it. I'm looking forward to that.

My 1/2 year in SOTA has been a great year.Despite joining them at the end of the 2nd term,I managed to get along well with my new classmates and catch up with school work.Through these months,I have learnt about leadership, analysis skills, essay writing,CHOICES.We chose to go to SOTA,we choose what we want to get out of our 6 Years of the IB programme,

Hello!

Another update!

So,I woke up with a splitting headache yesterday,thinking I HAD a fever but then I didn't.However after 4 periods or so in school,I started to 'burn up'.
Temperature check:37.7
{argh!why do I suddenly have a fever!}
2nd temperature check:38.2
I was then sent back,of course,all the way back to Marsling.{from where my school is in the Kallang area,FYI.}Doctor gave me a 5 DAY MC.That was still ok, considering the fact that some fevers DO go up & down.

And today?My fever just subsided,but I can't go back to school cos the MC is meant for 5 DAYS,so I must be home for 5 DAYS.Oh well.

Haven't got results for my cello exam yet,but will update when I do,I guess:D

Helloooooo to everyone!

Firstly, for those who are absolutely clueless,I have gotten into SOTA and have already started school for a week.

Secondly, school & people.
It has been good but the canteen food is so $$$,and it has only 4 stores! I sms-ed Sarah 1 fine day and she said she made bento leh. I also want. T_T
The people.
My class people are nice. Especially my desk mate Peier.I ask her sooooo many questions but she says she's not bothered about it. I thought I would irritate ppl by asking so many questions.Me and my questions.[why didn't i ask them in history lessons in bp??? sigh.]
Anyway, it's really easy to know your whole cohort cos somehow everybody knows somebody & that somebody knows someone else. Link,link,link.
Some people are loud. Louder than me.Some have strong,cheery fronts but soft,emotional insides. I really want to talk to Sarah cos i have not returned her calls.It's a nice feeling to talk to her once in awhile, you know, catch up with one another.(: It tells me we are still friends!:)

I think I saw Zhao Wei on the MRT yesterday morning! I wasn't sure if it was him so didn't go up and say hi. He grew so tall!!!{if it really was him.} Pri school as tall as me now taller leh!!! About one head!Aiya, he's a guy what. Guys Grow Fast. I think it really was him. Got that 'Zhao Wei-like' face. Just taller.Anybody knows what school he go???

Thirdly, stones. {huh?}
{This is said by my mom} {specially for mothers' day!}
"If you throw a stone @ anyone [and hit some one's head.Ouch!!!][oh,don't hit the head.][if not get concussion], that person is artistically inclined! Either a musician,singer,artist,dancer or actor!" Pretty fun to guess some one's art form. Sometimes can tell by just one look. Like playing "Identity", the game show. hahaha.

After my transfer incident, I realised how close i actually was to my BP friends & that they took me as a really good friend & I guess i earned that respect,like how Mr Puffer earns his.

Hi. I feel dreadful. Cos I'm sick. Since yesterday. 2 days MC. Today and tomorrow.

Anyway, the day class @ Sota was really fun!Although Chinese lessons seemed simple,it was something which was helpful and could be used in the writing of our compositions

The specialised art period was of course, my favourite.The teacher asked us to draw in a dark room with very little light and sketch what we could see.With charcoal.I have so seldom used charcoal.I was shading and my charcoal became so thin I almost couldn't finish my work.*blah*I am so not pro @ that! We also did blind contour drawing.Surprisingly, Sarah has actually done it before!

Oh,here are some updates in my fairly hopeful life:

I built a terrarium of which one of my plants died for who knows what reason
I have a possibly high chance of getting into Sota.[ I wanna step out!]
Mid-year Exams are coming and I'm not fully prepared.[not a good thing.]
I feel I don't have enough practice for MYE.[also not a good thing]
Sarah and I are still keeping contact.[thumbs up!]
Zi Qi and I actually talk to each other.[amazed]
My dad has taken up a part-time job teaching English for extra income.[I do feel sad abt it]
My vice-chairlady is sick @ the same time as me![amazed]

i'm actually blogging now.
Thnks 2 Kevin for reminding me how dead my blog was.

ANYWAY,lots of stuff has been happening, and in case I did not notify you guys,I'm so totally aiming for SOTA. Why? Maybe I regretted not going for it in P6. Maybe I felt the pressure in school and deprived me of MY PRECIOUS----ART.Recently went for the auditions. I'm starting to doubt I will get through though many think I will. Bpians really hope that I don't leave the school.I don't even know if I'll get through!

I recently also got back my Common Test results.3 A1s.One for Art,one for History, another for Lit.I sadly did not get an A1 for English.Math B4,Science C5. I thought I did averagely well for my first examination in sec 1!

Just last week my family got complimentry tickets from a friend to Disney On Ice.Ok,so what if they were princesses?They are super Skaters! I guess I was more interested in watching the ice skaters rather than the people,but the little girls who went were their biggest fans! They were all dressed up in party dresses,dresses imitating the princesses, some even to the extent of gloves and tiaras! Gosh,my favourite part was when there was a dragon from Sleeping Beauty and the dragon spat fire ------ON ICE! That was so cool! I think you can see it in the pic.

So, how was the first week and one day of school?

For me @BPGHS, I had fun. At first my class was the most quiet class in the whole sec 1,while our student councils in-charge were super HIGH! (Or what the councils call "ENTHU",short for enthusiastic.)

Other fun stuff happened,like we had to a mass dance to a Korean song,and incidentally, I have 2 Korean students(guys) in my class who are total opposites! One is 'cool'and the other,'wild'.

Our discipline master cracked some jokes about school rules. He is very particular about anyone stepping on the grass, being late, or being unhappy about the school.
And I quote him:" ... If you continue stepping on the grass, the grass will look like my hair!"
and you might have guessed... ... he's kinda bald. (no offense)

Day after day, our class became more energetic and more willing to cheer. Until yesterday's campfire, we reached our peak and cheered our best! Now, I think we are"enthu" !

last but not least,just for mention, my form teacher is teaching me Physics and Math, she is a teacher who wants us to take responsibility for the things she asks of us.

ok, last one: my friends now are nothing like the ones in primary school,or anything near to my best friend, Sarah,but hopefully we shall know each other better to get along!

Hello!

Just came back from church retreat in Bintan. A very memorable one indeed.

It was raining , and so the waters were really choppy. As a result, the boat was shaky... ... as we set off, we seemed ok, until... ... ...

Someone puked. Subsequently,some other ppl started feeling sick and started puking too!XP Luckily for me, I was totally well! yay for me!!! woo-hoo! "I survived the boat."

We stayed indoors the whole day cos some were kind'a still sick and it was raining.

*Killed time with cards, a game board,and some fake money.

Next day was so good! Good weather! So we went to the beach to play... ... with waves. :D Felt gd to breathe some fresh air... ...
And a gd smooth boat ride to end things off !

One of the rare times i'm posting....=_=

Anyway, yesterday during P.E lesson, something bad & unbelievable happened.Apparently, some1 passed me the basketball & in the process, sprained mi KNEE. MY KNEE. MY KNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! As Kevin quotes it,"WAH, i'm injured sooo many times nvr get sprain on knee."

I'm like, wah,i hv a rare case on my hands!i mean ,on my KNEES.

it hurt so bad[ and cos i'm leaving for new york on Sunday ] that my mom brought me to this chinese physician. & he gave me a painful but shiok experience! gave me some medicine too!To end it all, he applied this black gooey stuff on a bandage and stuck it on my knee, and put this guard [or something like that]over the bandage.

i breathed a sigh of relief.

on the way home i stared @ the guard and figured it looked like one of those things you get with apples @ the supermart...=_=

just today, Gerald asked if i got it with apples!:P lols.

I think i shall post about the New York trip after i come back.5 more days to go........Current temperature there is below ten degrees,you can keep a whole box of ice-cream there for a whole season without it being liquified!!!
